In order to reach out to the needy, differently abled, ill and aged, MLA  Siddharth Kunkolienkar recently inaugurated the Mobile Aadhar Card Unit in Panjim.

Speaking on the occasion, Siddharth said that in order to avail the Health Insurance Scheme, ‘Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana’, an Aadhar Card is a must. There are several citizens in the city and suburbs who are unable to visit the Aadhar centres; hence the idea of a mobile unit was conceived.

Goa Electronics Limited (GEL) conducted 238 camps till date. The camps evealed that numerous citizens were handicapped or bedridden. Siddharth recognising the problem urged the Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar to sanction a unit. Within a week he received approval to take the unit to the doorsteps of the needy.

Further, the Goa Electronics Limited (GEL) aiming at an affordable government process mentioned that the fee for the visit would be reduced to only Rs. 350. Therefore decreasing the burden on the underprivileged.
