Science comes from the Latin word ‘scientia’, meaning “knowledge. It is systematic in building and organizing knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. It is subdivided into natural sciences, social sciences, and formal sciences. Science is related to research and is normally organized by a university, a college, or a research institute. But did you know that there are other ways to learn all about science? The FabLabShow is in Goa this weekend to teach you just that!
India’s first Live Science Theatre show in Goa this weekend
The FabLabShow travels all over the country teaching kids all about the wonders of science. It is India’s first Science Theatre in the form of Live fun science stage shows. While the target audience age group is between 6 and 14-year-olds, the show’s producers have found that even younger kids like it for the entertainment factor. The hosts do explain the science part as well so that the 5-8-year-olds watching might just remember things from the show when they finally learn it at school.
The show takes place at Ravindra Bhavan in Margao on the 15th of April. They had a successful show back in February and are back for seconds this weekend. The FabLabShow is 90 minutes of exciting science-based content. Kids get to see science in action through demos, presentations, videos and innovative exhibits/structures; many that have never been seen before since all the content is created using a high level of design and originality. The aim is to inspire school kids and teachers to ‘act’ on Science, which means, ‘do’ science.

CHYP is Prateek’s co-host in this fantastic experience. He is a cute, little robot that has a fun rapport with Prateek. The one-upmanship interactions between the two of them make the show even more fun to watch.
