The 5 most beautiful waterfalls are absolutely stunning and adventurous places to visit in Goa. Some love to lay back and enjoy the sun while there those energetic and bold ones that need the adrenaline rush.

When tourists come to Goa the obvious first thing they know about or have heard about are the beaches. Well lets get straight to it, Goa is definitely famous for its magnificent beaches but there is also another beauty that nature has to offer here in Goa.

Dudhsagar Falls


One of the tallest waterfalls in India with a height of 310m, located amongst the Western Ghats. It forms the borders of Karnataka and Goa. You can get there by train, further it requires you to trek till you reach the falls. The trek is definitely not an easy one making it an absolutely exciting journey. That’s not the only fun part. Tourists can camp overnight and enjoy the beauty of the falls more in the wilderness.

Sada Falls


This magnificent waterfall is situated in the Chorla ghats, a thrilling 4 km walk to it. When getting to the falls there are changes in terrain, you pass streams and rocks. The water cascades between two hills it’s truly an amazing site. The waterfall is about 200 ft high and the place is just calm and tranquil. It’s a long journey to the waterfall but it is thoroughly worth it.

Arvalem Falls


Also pronounced Harvalem is located in the village of Sanquelim in Goa. It is best to go there during the monsoon as the water gushes down at its best at this time. The Arvalem rock caves are situated close by to the falls, also the Rudreshwar temple is in the area around. The beauty of three awaits you.

Hivre Falls


Here’s one for you when it comes to dangerous trekking and climbing. It is surrounded by dense forests. The trails to this place haven’t been marked and therefore requires a guide to take you up the hill. The village is 14 km away from the Valpoi city. There is a good transport system to get to the city and from there to the village.

Charavne waterfall



Another beautiful work of nature. The village of Charavne is 12 km from the city of Valpoi. It’s a beautiful village with amiable people. To get to the waterfall you have to trek for about 2 km up hill. The trek is certainly exciting with family and friends as you go up through the rocks and trees and shrubs.
