Anthony Fernandes needs no introduction, he has been in the restaurant business for over 10 years with his restaurant ‘All Spice’ in Arpora. Anthony calls his cuisine a fusion with a twist in taste. The ambience too is a fusion of colors and designs, although the outdoors appeals in a creative sort of way. But it is the menu that has a twist to its preparations. Predominantly Indian from North to South, with a few Chinese preparations thrown in for good measure, the twist is in Anthony’s special garam masalas which he throws in for good measure. Let’s sample the starters. The Chili Garlic Prawns are really good. Another hot favourite is the chicken Khandari… definitely not a Kandahari from Afghanistan but a mixture of Andhra, North Indian and Goan.

The main course has a wide variety. The Mutton Nellore with three chilies and tawa parathas are perfect. There is also a category called ‘Special Tadka’ a mix of Goan and Manglorean fusion Maharashtrian (Kekdyandre Kalwa) and Chettinad ( Chicken Chettinad) fusion too. As a family restaurant goes, the prices are reasonable. The décor of the restaurant in the harsh sunlight, during lunch especially the purple tablecloths are a bit too outlandish to endure. Situated on the main road the restaurant is easily accessible, its open air garden in the evenings a pleasure to sit in.
