Closed two weeks in Sep around Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Set in a few adjoining sheds, Kamlabai has a great reputation for fresh seafood, helped by the fact that the owners also own a fishing trawler. We enjoyed the delicious rawa fried prawns (marinated and coated in breadcrumbs and semolina) and a roti (flat bread) whilst our driver sat at the nest table relishing a thali (sampler platter for just Rs. 50. The menu is in English but you need to ask what the catch of the day is. The place is always bustling, however, on Mondays and Saturdays, many Goan Hindus avoid eating meat or fish, and so these are good days to get a table. Beer is available.
