Not many beach shacks are allowed on Agonda Beach as it is a turtle nesting site. This small, family-run restaurant finds its place on the beach with a limited menu but has a steady stream of visitors who come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They do the spicy Goan seafood speciality Fish Recheado quite well. If you’re not fond of spicy stuff, ask them to battery-fry the fish for you with the normal Goan spices, which is usually just a bit of salt, turmeric and chilly powder. Or simply ask for plain fry, specially if they have kingfish fillets. Good bets are Mackerel Fish Curry Rice and any other fresh catch of the season. You can also sample their sizeable Kingfish Steak. The ambience is homely and simple, and they make some excellent breakfast and salads for the health-conscious alternative crowd which visits the less-frequented beach at Agonda.
