Shopping. Something all women, and some men love to do. From clothing, shoes, household items, food items, home decor, electronics and so much more, everything is easily available on the Internet. Of course, buying off the Net has its disadvantages. Even though you get a variety of choice, chances are you will end up with something someone else has. This doesn’t seem to happen in case of shopping at flea markets and pop up bazaars. Don’t believe it? Check out the Pop It Up Turns 2 flea market happening at the Taleigao Community hall this Sunday.

Pop in at Taleigao Community Hall on the 27th of May, 2018

Pop up flea markets have become popular in the last 2 or 3 years in Goa. They are the best places to find hidden treasures, some more quirky than others. With a mix of clothing, home decor, stationery, food stalls and more, they are a great social outing too. Bhakti Hirani and Natasha Parekh are two enterprising and stylish young ladies that have brought the Pop-Up culture to Panjim with their various editions of the Pop It Up flea market.

It’s true, you can get a lot of this stuff online. But much can go wrong with online shopping. Orders can get delayed, lost, arrive in a pitiful condition or just end up being something that a friend may have too. When you buy items from a flea market, you get a great choice and you’re also buying something that is usually made by local talent.

Pop It Up Turns 2!

Bhakti and Natasha have been holding their Pop It Up flea market for the last 2 years now. Each edition has been a big success. The duo makes sure that while the stall participants are repeated, the event is one that every visitor enjoys. They organize these flea markets at various times of the year with the venues being the Taleigao Community Hall and the Goa Marriott Resort and Spa. The Monsoon and Winter Fleas are at the community hall and the Sun, Sand and Flea is held at the Marriott.

This time’s edition of the Pop It Up flea market is an extra special one. It’s their second anniversary and Bhakti and Natasha have loads in store for everyone. If you’re looking for quirky jewelry, pretty handicrafts, cute stationery, stylish clothing and some great food and delectable desserts, this is the place to be. Its all under one roof. Plus there are activities like a mother and child art class, a paper quilling workshop and even Zumba with Goa’s favorite Zumba instructor, Joseph Dias.

So if shopping is your dream, keep this Sunday free and head on to Pop It Up turns 2 at the Talegiao Community Hall. Check out their Facebook page for more on what’s in store and stay updated for more events like this one.
