This breezy restaurant on the main Calangute-Candolim road, near Malini Ramani’s boutique is an excellent value-for-money eatery. Housed in the compound of an old Goan House, there is garden sitting, a rather pleasant atmosphere and you can also watch the world go by on the busy road outside. Walk up the mosaic tiled pathway and browse through the menu. As the name suggests, they have dishes from many parts of the country, but it’s not really representative of all Indian cuisines. With only a few of the more popular dishes available here. What you essentially get here is North Indian Punjabi-Mughlai food, along with some Hyderabadi and Maharastrian dishes. But its good stuff that they serve, decent portions too and quite reasonable prices. If seafood is your choice for the day order the King Prawn seafood is your choice for the day order the King Prawn Masala ( red masala) or the Prawn Malia Methi (creamy masala).

Looking for a gravy dish, you could choose from the robust Chicken Peshwari, the spicier Chicken Patiala, the Chicken Kolhapuri, which is also spicy or the Chicken Tiranga which comes in three colours. The menu has a large choice in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparations. The small Chinese-Oriental corner has a superb Fung Sao Nuky, pork in roast sauce or the Moo Goo He, prawns in a soya black bean sauce. For desserts there is Bebinca, pancakes and Gulab Jamun. A tourist haunt it has a pleasing ambience with that Taste of India.
