Government Ban on Selfies Near National Monuments

The Government of India recently announced that they have banned selfies near National Monuments. The Tourism ministry has banned visitors from clicking selfies in front of National Monuments during the Independence Day Week.

An advisory has been issued to all the states to restrict tourists from clicking selfies in front of important monuments from August 12-18. This is all part of a security measure being taken in view of the Independence Day celebrations and ‘Bharat Parv’ events.

All the Citizens of India and the tourists are advised to follow instructions given during this week at public places as it is in the interest of the security of the nation.
