FIFA on schedule, exams out of the way

The Goa Government this Monday sent out a circular to all its schools instructing them to reschedule their exams on or before October 7th, 2017 so that students can get a chance to witness the FIFA U17 matches which will be held at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda.

“In order to enable the students to witness the matches of once in a lifetime event, it is enjoined upon heads of all schools in the State to re-schedule the first terminal examination/summative examination so that it gets over on or before October 7, 2017. Regular classes will continue until the end of the term,” said the circular.

The World Cup commences on the 6th October 2017. In Group C the matches begin next day with Germany taking on Costa Rica at 5 pm followed by Guinea against Iran at 8 pm.

The circular also applies to the Private primary, middle and Higher Secondary as well as Special schools all over the state of Goa.
