Michele moved to Goa from France over 30 years ago, married one of Goa’s most famous musician Remo Fernandes, and, luckily for us, now runs a superb French café, La Vie en Rose in the garden of her delightful home in Anjuna. She also offers two lovely suites with private balconies on the first floor of her home. These cost Rs.1,500 monsoon up to Rs.6,000 high season. I liked the orange suite at the rear a little more, because of the outlook, however, the blue suite at the front was also lovely. Both are spacious and comfortable, plus there is an added bonus of free Wi-Fi, not to mention some of the most delicious food in Goa. At the time of writing, Michele was adding two bamboo cabanes in the back garden which, during the season, will be half the price of the suites.
