Thailand Consul General Ekpol Poolpipat told the Goa government of his new plan to boost tourism between Goa and Thailand. He said the Thai airlines will soon start Goa – Thailand direct flight service.

Ekpol Poolpipat along with his officers called on Goa tourism minister Dilip Parulekar at the secretariat on Wednesday.

These services will help Goa as well as Thailand. Initially, the flight services could be once a week and depending on the response, frequency may be increased, Poolpipat told tourism minister.

He also said, Thailand tourism would organise road show and special exhibitions in Goa and would assist GTDC in organising such programs and promoting tourism in Thailand.

Dilip Parulekar welcomed this proposal of Thailand tourism and restated that this arrangement would be helpful to both the parties.

Poolpipat was briefed about the various activities undertaken by GTDC in promoting tourism.

Prime Minister of Thailand, Prayut Chan-O-Cha, would attend the BRICS summit happening in Goa next month. During his visit, he would meet the Goa tourism minister to discuss various aspects of tourism exchange between Goa and Thailand and a proper plan would be finalized, said Goa tourism in its press statement.
