Overlooking the swimming pool, the golf course and the azure expanse of the Arabian sea, this is alfresco dining laced in style at The Restaurant. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner, the healthy preparations from the Garde Manger and bakery and pastry products are there to feast on. All in one big dining area…it is a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Given a choice f buffet or a la carte – for starters try the Arabic Cold Mezze Sampler Hummus, Babaganoush, Dolma and Fattoush with Pita Bread. It’s a great way to stimulate the appetite. Follow it with the Provencale Herb Crusted Snapper Filet served with grilled vegetables, hasselback potato with sour cream and sauce vierge.
The Scottish Salmon with a mustard honey glaze and a gazpacho shot is another recommendation. Served with basil crushed potato and with asparagus, calamari a la plancha, balsamic and honey caviar, caper butter sauce, it’s a preparation to relish. Still on a seafood quest then it’s the Poppy Seed Crusted Grilled Lobster with Tabbouleh, pan-fried mushroom and olive gnocchi and a tarragon butter sauce. One of the signature dishes is the Wagyu Striploin with egg stuffed baked potato , broccoli, zucchini, vanilla scented tomato and and garlic confit bourguignon sauce. You will see the marbled consistency in this meat because the fat content is high as the cattle are put on a special feed. Only available at the Leela its a preparation that the chefs have worked on that it is difficult to replicate.
While the USP is state of the art cuisine done exclusively by the house Thai chef, try some of their Pan Asian preparations. Steamed Dim Sum, Crystal vegetable dumpling, Barbeque Chicken bun or Prawn Sui Mai. Go Indonesian with the famous Nasi Goreng (Indonesian fried rice with chicken, prawns and fried egg) or get caught in this culinary grip when you order the Singaporean Style Chili Crab. It’s a veritable feast for someone who would like to dine in style the alfresco way!
