Ideas come from nowhere but some come from a hobby or deep thinking.

The idea about becoming a Zumba instructor was something she never thought would become a profession. Sheryl was a homemaker who spent her days looking after her 3 children. She joined a Zumba class and loved it so much that she decided to become an instructor. As she had a studio of her own called ‘Divas’ in Porvorim-Goa she started her classes there in March 2013 till date. And went on to train in the other Zumba specialties as a variety for her clients.img-20161015-wa0018img-20161015-wa0016

After a few years as her kids were growing up she says she had more time on her hands and started making a cream liqueur just as a hobby. Her family and friends loved it so much that they insisted she start taking orders. So she began participating in pop-up exhibitions and summer events. She also makes desserts using her cream liqueur.

Another thing that interested her was setting up a good laundry service in Goa. She got trained in a laundry that belonged to a friend of hers and now she has her own unit called ‘Wash Factory’ which is set up at Delfino’s. After all these attributes to her bag, she also looks after the overall running of Dr. Sanjeev Vas Dental Clinic at Calangute, which belonged to her late husband.

There’s no stopping Sheryl in whatever she does. She takes up what interests her and does justice to the things she loves. She recently came up with an idea to start up ‘Aqua Zumba’ which seems so much fun!

On asking her about her accomplishments she says with a big smile, “I feel a sense of achievement and accomplishment. I’m happy to be leading a full life.” Sheryl Vas can be an inspiration to many women out there who are thinking about starting their own business venture.

Sheryl strongly believes that if you want to be strong, then you have to learn to fight alone!Save
